Product description
Ransom Wines & Spirits is headquartered in Oregon's Willamette Valley and was founded in 1997.
Initially producing grappa, fruit schnapps and brandy, gin, vodka and whiskey joined in 2007. A year later, the company bought a farm where it grows grapes and barley. WhipperSnapper is quite an unusual drink. It is a blend of corn distillate imported from Kentucky (79%) and its own barley distillate (21%). They are matured for six months to two years in American oak barrels, both fresh and previously used for maturing whiskey, and in French oak barrels for pinot noir. The term "WhipperSnapper" describes a young impertinent person who has no respect for established rules, but is also creative.
