Ron Esclavo rum brand is a tribute to all those slaves who once worked on the sugar plantations and rum factories in what is now the Dominican Republic.
Esclavo is the Spanish for slave. The rums are manufactured from fresh cane juice, they all mature in the tropics in American and French oak barrels. They are made at Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos, the largest spirits producer in the Dominican Republic. The company has its own sugar cane plantations, thus ensuring the highest quality raw material for their rums.
Ron Esclavo XO is a blend of rums made from fresh sugar cane juice and from molasses. They matured in the tropical climate of Jamaica in a mixture of American and French oak barrels for 12 to 15 years.
Nose: Spicy, with notes of beeswax, ripe fruits.
Palate: Full and balanced, with notes of fruits, vanilla and coconuts.
Finish: Long, with notes of oak and spices.
