Product description
Distillerie Radermacher has been operating since 1836, making it the oldest distillery in Belgium.
Its headquarters is in Raeren, in Wallonia, close to the German border. Radermacher is a valued producer of "craft" alcoholic beverages, including whiskey, gin, rum, vodka, liqueurs and aperitifs. The company is headed by Bernard Zacharias, representing the fifth generation of the founding family, and recently his daughter Line. In 2014, the company entered the market with a collection of organic spirits, including gin. The formula of 1836 Belgian Organic gin contains 11 botanical ingredients: juniper berries, elderberry, bergamot, lemon peel and zest, orange peel, coriander seed, angelica root, cardamom, lavender and cinnamon. The base of the gin is an organic grain distillate.
1836 Organic Gin has a fresh, floral aroma, enriched with a delicate citrus note. The taste is similar, citrus, some herbs, a touch of cinnamon and mild juniper-pine notes. The producer recommends serving it with Pink Peppercorn tonic, with the addition of pink peppercorns and a sprig of rosemary.
