Product description
Tanqueray is one of the most popular gins in the world. Its creator was Charles Tanqueray, who developed the recipe for the drink in 1838, at his distillery on Vine Street in London's Bloomsbury district.
The gin recipe remains unchanged to this day. The brand is currently owned by Diageo, and Tanqueray is produced at the Scottish Cameron Bridge distillery. The gin contains just four ingredients: juniper, angelica root, coriander seed and licorice root, which are macerated in grain alcohol before distillation. Due to the lack of citrus fruit in the recipe, the gin is drier and more intense. Legend has it that Tanqueray was Frank Sinatra's favorite gin. The basic version is bottled at 43.1%.
