Product description
FEW Spirits was founded in 2011 by Paul Hletko, a former patent lawyer. The micro-distillery is based in Evanston, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
Evanston is home to the Women's Christian Temperance Union and was a Prohibitionist from 1855 to 1972. Ironically, the distillery's name is based on the initials of Frances Elizabeth Wilard, a temperance crusade leader and former president of the organization that moved its headquarters to Evanston. FEW American Gin is distilled from a "white dog" base (70% corn, 20% wheat, 10% malted barley) with 11 botanicals, including juniper berries, lemon and orange peel, vanilla pod, cassia bark, grains of paradise, angelica root, lavender, and hops. In 2013, FEW American Gin won a bronze medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
FEW American Gin is a drink with a masterfully balanced palette, in which botanical ingredients create a harmonious union. Citrus, vanilla flirting with juniper, a pinch of cinnamon and subtle notes of coriander create an unforgettable bouquet. FEW American Gin tastes great served with an ice cube or with ginger ale.
