Product description
Fercullen Whiskey debuted at the end of 2018 in the Powerscourt Distillery range.
The company was founded in 2017 and is based at the Slazenger estate of Powerscourt in Co Wicklow. The distillery has three stills and can produce around one million litres of spirit per year. Production is overseen by Master Distiller Noel Sweeney, formerly of Cooley Distillery. The word ‘Fercullen’ comes from the Gaelic ‘Fera Culann’, the name given to the land surrounding the Powerscourt estate, and all of the whiskeys under the Fercullen brand have been distilled and aged exclusively at Cooley Distillery. The Fercullen 8 year old is a blend of malt and grain spirits aged in both first and refill bourbon casks.
