Product description
Since selling the Cooley and Kilbeggan distilleries to Beam Suntory in 2011, the Teelings have continued to experiment with finishing in a variety of casks.
One of the latest editions is a collaboration between Teeling Whiskey Co. and the Reichsrat von Buhl winery in Deidesheim. The Cooley distillery’s 5-year-old malt and grain whiskeys aged in refilled American oak barrels were blended into grand cru riesling barrels from the Frost, Ruppertsberg and Deidesheim vineyards. The final maturation lasted 18 months; the whiskey was bottled at 46% abv and the edition hit the market in 2021 in an edition of 3,000 bottles.
