Wild Turkey 14-year-old Tradition Limited Edition /50.50%/0.75l

Tradition is a super premium edition of Wild Turkey bourbon. If we wanted to be more specific, we would name two versions of Tradition – one from the late 90s

Last century, bottled without an age statement and presented here as a 14-year-old from 2009, an edition limited to 30,000 bottles. Its presentation is an absolute work of art, an elegant bottle set in an engraved bronze base presented in a beautiful case. It seems that Wild Turkey’s marketing department has ignored “Tradition” a bit, the press release only saying that it “celebrates the Wild Turkey distillery and the people of Kentucky who honor the rich tradition of whiskey making.” The barrels for the edition were selected by legendary master distiller Jimmy Russell and his son Eddie.

Nose: rich, honey, maple syrup, caramel, vanilla cream, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, a handful of dry herbs, charred oak and tobacco.

Palate : caramel popcorn, vanilla, honey, orange peel, honeydew melon, cherries, cinnamon, nutmeg, oak, notes of tobacco and leather.

Finish : long, with notes of caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, pepper, orange peel, charred oak and leather.
