Product description
Born in Canada to Scottish parents, James Buchanan is the undisputed pioneer of blended whisky.
He began his career in the industry in 1879 as a London agent for Charles Mackinlay, and in the mid-1980s he founded his own company. Using the power of advertising, he made his creation Black & White one of the most popular blended whiskies of the 19th and 20th centuries. In 1925, Buchanan & Co. joined DCL, the predecessor of Diageo, which today owns the Buchanan's brand. The Buchanan's Master presented here debuted in 2010 in South America and soon found global distribution. Annual sales of Buchanan's blends currently amount to over 24 million bottles, with their largest recipients being Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.
