Product description
Ardmore Distillery, based in Aberdeenshire (Highlands), is an investment of William Teacher & Sons dating back to the late 19th century.
Its task was to produce malt whisky for the family blends. In the years 1955-1974 the plant expanded, initially the number of stills was increased to four, eventually to eight. Ardmore, as the only distillery in the region, consistently distills from malt with a concentration of phenol compounds of 12-14 ppm; the annual sales of the brand currently amount to over 700,000 bottles. The whisky presented here, distilled on September 12, 2000, spent 22 years in a first-fill sherry butt cask (No. 2). Bottled on October 13, 2022 at cask strength (54.2% abv) and without cold filtration by the Dutch distributor Van Wees in the popular The Ultimate series in an edition of 697 bottles.
