Talisker 30 Year Old, 2022 Release / 49.6% / 0.7l

Talisker is a single malt that has seen tremendous sales growth in the new century.

It increased by several hundred percent, to reach 3.3 million bottles in 2020, which places Talisker in ninth place in the single malt category sales statistics. The distillery's commercial offer is extremely diverse and lists over ten versions, from several bottled without an age statement to extremely rich 25- and 30-year-old whiskies (the oldest official edition was 44 years old). Talisker 30 years old debuted in 2006 and has experienced annual limited editions since then; in 2019-2020 it was not bottled, but a year later it returned in full glory. The 2022 edition consisted of 3,195 bottles and contained whisky aged in American oak barrels and bottled at cask strength (49.6% abv).

Nose : intense, seaweed, apricots, pineapples, honeydew melon, orange peel, toffee, salted caramel, white pepper, charred oak and peat smoke in the background.

Palate : peat smoke, sea breeze, salted caramel, vanilla, apricots, peaches, tangerines, milk chocolate, roasted almonds, white pepper and toasted oak.

Finish : long, with notes of sea breeze, citrus, white pepper, vanilla, sea salt, toasted oak and peat smoke.
