Product description
West Cork Distillers was founded in 2003 by three friends – John O'Connell and brothers Denis and Gerard McCarthy.
The distillery distills malt and grain whiskey and blends its own blend. Its commercial offer also includes Garnish Island Gin, although gin production is only 5% of turnover. Since 2014, the distillery has been based in Skibbereen and after expansion, equipped with eight stills and two distilling columns, produces 4.5 million litres of distillate per year. West Cork produces single malt and single pot still distillates, and some of the barley is malted on site. The triple-distilled single pot still whiskey presented here was aged in first-fill bourbon barrels for 5 years and bottled with a natural colour and without chill filtration in 2022.
