Product description
Pendleton whisky was introduced in 2003 by Hood River Distillers, Oregon’s oldest spirits company (founded 1934).
The whisky is imported from Canada in bulk then processed and cut to the bottling proof with glacier-fed spring water from Oregon’s Mt. Hood. The company does not disclose where the whisky is sourced from, rumor has it is Alberta Distillery. Hood River Distillers is one of the sponsors of Pendleton Round-up, one of the ten top rodeos in the world, and Pendleton whisky was intended to be sold only at the rodeo. Its popularity however extended beyond that point and in 2018 the brand was acquired by Proximo Spirits, subsidiary of Casa Cuervo (it is still processed and bottled in Oregon). The brand sells about three million bottles annually.
