Lefort Augustin French Whiskey / 42% / 0.7l

Lefort Augustin whisky is a product of Distillerie Bercloux, based in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, founded in 2000 by Philippe Laclie.

Initially, Bercloux operated as a brewery, but after two years it began producing gin and fruit liqueurs. In 2014, Lacllie, determined to distill whiskey, installed fermentation vats and an 800-liter still. Since 2019, Distillerie Bercloux has been part of Les Bienheureux Group. Lefort Augustin debuted in 2021; it is a spirit whose production is based exclusively on French components.

Aroma : barley malt, vanilla, brown sugar, sweet bread, stewed apples and pears, a pinch of cinnamon and pepper.

Taste : sweet breakfast cereals, vanilla, milk fudge, Christmas gingerbread, apples, cinnamon, allspice and oak.

Finish : medium long, with notes of cereal flakes, dried fruit, cinnamon buns and oak.
