Product description
Goa Dry Gin is named after the smallest state in India and debuted in 2009 in the offering of World Wide Distillers.
The company was founded in 1973 in Madrid and is now one of the main players in the domestic spirits market. The gin formula lists eight botanicals: juniper berries, coriander, cassia bark, two types of cumin, angelica root, cardamom and nutmeg. It is distilled at London's Thames Distillery under the watchful eye of Charles Maxwell, the local master distiller. The base of Goa gin is grain spirit, in which the botanicals are briefly macerated. They are distilled five times in small stainless steel columns. The presentation of Goa is undoubtedly eye-catching, making it a great gift idea for any gin lover. In 2010, Goa Gin won a bronze medal at the World Spirit Competition in San Francisco. The version presented here is bottled at 43% abv.
Goa London Dry is a spice-packed gin, with strong notes of cumin, cardamom and coriander balancing juniper berries and subtle citrus notes. We recommend serving it in Martinis and with Schweppes mixers, tonic or ginger ale.
