Product description
The Hart family began trading in the late 19th century, but it was not until 1964 that brothers Iain and Donald Hart joined the whisky producers, changing the name of the family business to Wine & Spirits Wholesalers and Scotch Whisky Blenders.
Alistair Hart joined in 1975 and remains the Blending Master to this day, selecting the casks for all Hart Brothers whiskies. The Glenrothes featured here, distilled in November 1996, spent over 17 years in oak before being bottled at cask strength (55.8% abv) and without chill filtration in February 2014 as part of the Finest Collection. Based in Speyside, the Glenrothes Distillery has a production capacity of around 5.6 million litres per year.
