Product description
Bruichladdich Rocks, a completely unpeated version of this single malt, was introduced in 2007.
Jim McEwan, its creator and Bruichladdich master distiller, personally selected barrels of different vintages for each batch. According to the distillery, “this whisky is a legacy of Jim, his barrel selection experience, extraordinary organoleptic skills, the quality of American and French oak, and pristine local water, filtered through the oldest rock in the world – the 1.8 billion year old Gneiss Rock.” The finished blend matured in French red wine barrels.
Nose: mild and fresh, barley malt, red currant jam, grapes, pomegranates, vanilla, golden syrup, brown sugar, a pinch of salt and oak.
