Product description
Port Ellen Distillery produced whisky from 1825 to 1929.
In 1967, after a general renovation, it resumed production, but it did not survive the crisis in the industry in the 1970s and in 1983 it distilled for the last time. In the 1990s, Port Ellen was one of the most frequently mentioned whiskies in the offers of independent bottlers, which today can only be remembered with fondness. The Gordon & MacPhail edition presented here, bottled about 30 years ago for the Italian importer Giuseppe Meregalli, is an unusual teenager from this distillery today. The whisky distilled in 1974 was aged for about 17 years and bottled at 40% alcohol.
