Product description
Rìgh Seumas is a whisky brand from the Murray McDavid portfolio dedicated to Jim McEwan, former Master Distiller of the Bruichladdich Distillery.
It debuted in 2015 in two versions – Rìgh Seumas I (blended malt) and Rìgh Seumas II (Crafted blend). The third batch blend presented here was composed of 70% single malt whisky – Bruichladdich, Auchentoshan, Arran, Tobermory and Old Rhosdhu (Loch Lomond Distillery) – and 30% single grain whisky from the Invergordon and North British distilleries. The components were distilled in 2008, and they were matured in sherry, bourbon and red wine casks. Seumas II Batch # 3 bottled at 50% alcohol went on sale in 2019 in an edition of 914 bottles.
