Product description
Rosebank, one of the Lowlands' most respected distilleries, survived the severe industry downturn of the 1980s only to cease production in 1993.
The small operation produced just over 500,000 litres of alcohol per year and required a significant investment to meet the standards of the late 20th century. Almost a quarter of a century later, Rosebank enthusiasts celebrated the joyous news that the property, brand rights and remaining stock had been purchased by Ian Macleod Distillers, who are set to restore the distillery to its rightful glory by the end of 2019. The Rosebank on display here was distilled in 1989 and spent 17 years in a bourbon hogshead cask. Bottled in May 2006 at cask strength (54.2% abv) by Wm Cadenhead Ltd. in the Closed Distilleries series. The edition consisted of 294 bottles.
