Product description
A champagne house founded in 1743 by Claude Moet, a wine merchant and wine enthusiast. Thanks to his sales talent, the initially small estate in Epernay quickly became known in aristocratic circles, and in 1748 it reached the court of the French king, Louis XV. It became the favorite champagne of Madame de Pompadour, and later conquered Europe, making its home in the courts of Great Britain, Germany, and Holland, among others. In 1814, Jean-Remy Moet was awarded the Cross of the Officer of the Legion of Honor by Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, and Napoleon himself visited this champagne house at least three times.
Currently, Moet & Chandon is known all over the world, being a companion of many political and cultural events. Its portfolio includes a wide range of products for everyday as well as special occasions. The brand is owned by LVMH and has the largest vineyards in Champagne.
Champagne Moet & Chandon Nectar Imperial /Box/ 12% / 0.75l
A champagne that is the face of the entire category, the most recognizable in the world and participating in many cultural and sporting events. Made from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Menieur varieties. Produced using the traditional method. Very elegant and aromatic on the nose, it perfectly combines the freshness of citrus with notes of bread crust and brioche. On the palate, very delicate and dense effervescence, which works well with a hint of lime and bread accents, and a semi-sweet character completes the whole. The finish is long and subtle, with a lasting fresh aftertaste.
It tastes best served at a temperature of 10-12 degrees. Perfect as an aperitif, but also works well in culinary combinations with light salads, seafood, or fried fish and poultry.
