Product description
The Whitley Neill brand was launched in 2005 by Johnny Neill, an eighth-generation member of the Greenall Whitley distilling family.
The gin is “made in London and inspired by Africa” and the inspiration came from Neill’s African-born wife. What sets Whitley Neill apart from other dry gins are two African components in the formula – baobab fruit and cape gooseberries. Other botanicals are: juniper berries, coriander, angelica root, orris root, cassia bark, lemon and orange peel. The gin is distilled to Neill’s specification in small batches at Langley Distillery near Birmingham in over 100 years old copper pot still. In recent years Whitley Neill launched about 10 flavored gins with slight modifications to the formula. Quince Dry Gin featuring Turkish quince was introduced in 2016 and in 2018 scored gold medal at the World Gin Awards. The Whitley Gin brand is owned and marketed by Halewood Wine & Spirits Co.
Whitley Neill Quince Gin is quite unusual gin with notes of pears, tart apples and peaches balanced with juniper and hint of coriander. We recommend serving it with Fentimans Naturally Light Tonic Water.
