Product description
When Murray McDavid took over the Bruichladdich distillery from the American Jim Beam Brands, warehouse stocks were part of the contract.
This meant thousands of barrels of both bourbon and sherry in various stages of maturation, and gave the new owners the opportunity to build an attractive sales offer. During the first years of the new century, we were inundated with dozens of editions per year, most of which we still consider successful. Bruichladdich Full Strength 1989 debuted in 2003 and was met with a positive market response. Two years later, another Full Strength hit the market, a whisky distilled in 1994 and aged in oak barrels for 11 years.
Aroma: malt, vanilla, caramel, milk chocolate, maple syrup, apples, pineapples, bananas, a hint of sea breeze and quite strong oak tones.
Palate: sweet cereals, caramel, marzipan, honey, traces of licorice and anise, candied fruit, a pinch of salt and a delicate bitterness of oak.
Finish: quite long, with notes of barley malt, honey, caramel, licorice and oak.
