Grant's 21-year-old Castle Grant / 43% / 0.75l
- Grant’s 21 years old Castle Grant is a limited edition from early 1980s inspired by a certain caste. We do not know the details of the formula of the blend; we can take an educated guess that Glenfiddich and Balvenie single malts are its key components.
Product description
Grant's 21 years old Castle Grant is a limited edition from the early 1980s inspired by Grant Castle.
Unfortunately, we don't know much about the whisky itself, probably the main ones are single malts Glenfiddich and Balvenie. Since we don't know the exact date of its release, we can't say whether the formula included single grain Girvan (the distillery was established in 1963).
Built in the 16th century in Cromdale, around 4km from Grantown-on-Spey, the castle remains one of the ancestral seats of the Grant clan chieftains, from whom the lands and earldom of Seafield passed to Sir Lewis Alex Grant, Bart. Surrounded by majestic, ancient trees, the castle offers breathtaking views of the Scottish Highlands. The long association with the Grant family inspired them to dedicate a limited edition of Grant's 21 years old to the castle. The whisky fills a beautiful ceramic decanter made by Royal Doulton Ltd, which bears the motto: "Lord, grant all Grants happiness and eternal blessing. The creation of such a whisky should secure them a place among the saints."
