- The Knob Creek brand was introduced in 1992 as the second installment of Jim Beam Small Batch Collection.
Product description
In 1992, Knob Creek joined Jim Beam's now-historic Small Batch Collection. It is named for the farm about 30 minutes south of Bardstown where future President Abraham Lincoln spent his childhood.
Knob Creek's formula is no different than the standard Jim Beam bourbon (77% corn, 13% rye, and 10% malted barley), its profile is based on the selection of barrels. Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve 9 years old first hit the market in 2010 and has been described as "Knob Creek on steroids." While it's not a cask strength edition, its 60% ABV makes it the closest to the original.
