Glendullan Distillery was built in 1897 by William Williams & Sons.
Five years later, the whisky produced there was distinguished by King Edward VII and was regularly delivered to the royal court. Today, the distillery belongs to Diageo and produces around 5 million liters of alcohol annually. Glendullan distillate is a key component of the Old Parr blend, and is also mentioned in the Johnie Walker Red and Buchanan's 12 year old formulas. It has appeared in the Rare Malts series three times, the last time in 2005 in the 26-year-old version. The whisky was bottled in cask strength (56.6% abv), and 6,000 bottles were released.
