Product description
Glen Grant Distillery was founded in 1840 by John and James Grant. James died in 1872 and the distillery passed to his son James junior, otherwise known as Major Grant.
Major was a strict employer, he posted warning notice that any man found drinking wash would be dismissed on the spot, but also provided each employee with a bottle of Glen Grant every month. Major Grant equipped the distillery with tall, slender stills fitted with purifiers that allowed producing lighter and more delicate whisky as compared to its Speyside competitors. Glen Grant Major’s Reserve was launched in 2010 and remains part of the distillery core range. It is a great introduction to the complex world of single malts.
