Product description
This is the most recognizable whiskey from the Jack Daniel's collection. It is the flagship product of Brown-Forman, which year after year breaks sales records around the world.
Every whiskey lover has encountered this drink at some point. It has been produced since 1875 in Lynchburg, Tennessee. Its creator was the charismatic Jasper Newton "Jack" Daniel. The mash recipe for this whiskey contains 78% corn, 12% rye and 10% malted barley. It is distilled twice in distillation columns. After distillation, the fresh alcohol is filtered through 3-meter columns filled with maple charcoal. This process, so-called "charcoal mellowing", distinguishes Tennessee whiskey from bourbon. Jack Daniel's distillates mature for 4 years in new, charred white oak barrels. The whiskey is called "Black Label" or "Old No. 7". Many legends are associated with the famous seven, but no one knows what it means. It is one of the few secrets that Jack Daniel took with him to the grave.
