Signatory Vintage founded in 1988 by Andrew and Brian Symingtons is one of the leading independent whisky bottling companies.
Their bottlings usually include much appreciated information – the cask number, date of distillation and bottling and number of bottles filled. The 13 years old expression of Rosebank comprises whisky from two hogsheads, no. 723 and 724, filled on April 5, 1989 and bottled on April 11, 2002 for the Italian market as part of the Vintage Collection. Only 764 bottles were produced.
Nose: smooth and floral, wild flowers, lavender, lemons, grapefruits, honey, vanilla, traces of pepper and nutmeg.
Palate: malty and pretty spicy, breakfast cereals, toasted bread, vanilla, lemon grass, pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon and oak.
Finish: medium long, malty, with hints of citrus and quite strong oaky notes.
