Product description
The Black Bottle Blend is a late 19th century creation of Gordon Graham & Co. Its original formula featured single malts from the Highlands and Islay.
In 1951, the company's office burned down, and all of its documents were also destroyed in the fire. The Black Bottle brand soon came under the ownership of Long John International, who changed its formula to the disapproval of the market. Since 2003, Black Bottle has been owned by Burn Stewart Distillers, now a subsidiary of the Distell Group, and has strong ties to the Isle of Islay. Its main components come from the Bunnahabhain Distillery (the standard Bunnahabhain and its smoky-peated version Mòine), purchased along with the Black Bottle brand by the current owners.
