Product description
Grant's is currently number 3 on the list of the most popular Scottish blends. With annual sales of over 4.5 million cases (2017), it is second only to Johnnie Walker (18.3 million cases) and Ballantine's (6.9 million cases).
William Grant & Sons, the owner of the brand, has four malt distilleries (Glenfiddich, Balvenie, Kininvie and Ailsa Bay) and one grain distillery (Girvan) and we can assume that the key to the blend formula is the whiskies from them (with minimal participation from Balvenie). The company constantly experiments with finishing maturation, it is one of the first to use beer barrels for it. Grant's Ale Cask Finish debuted in 2015, replacing the Ale Cask Reserve version in the offer. The whisky spent the final four months in ale barrels from an undisclosed brewery.
