Product description
Founded in 1863, Maison Hardy is named after the Scottish gentleman involved in the wine and premium spirits trade, Anthony Hardy.
Hardy fell for the charms of the Charente department quite early on, and in particular the brandies produced there, of which he most appreciated those from the Cognac region. Today, the company remains in the hands of the fifth generation of the founding family and is managed by Bénédicte Hardy. Hardy VS is made from eaux-de-vie from four growing districts, including Fins Bois, aged for five years in Limousin oak barrels. In 2017, it won a gold medal at the World Spirit Competition in San Francisco. Hardy cognac is also listed in the "Guinness Book of Records" - in September 2011, a bottle of Hardy Croizet Cognac Leonie 1858 found a buyer at an auction in Shanghai for the equivalent of $156,760.00.
