Product description
The Speyburn Distillery buildings nestle into the rolling hills surrounding the Spey Valley. The distillery was built in 1897 and became part of DCL less than 20 years later.
Since 1991, it has been owned by Inver House Distillers and, following an expansion completed in 2015, its distilling capacity has increased to 4.5 million litres of alcohol per year. In the USA, Speyburn has been in the top ten best-selling single malts for years, and the Bradan Orach version debuted there in 2009. Its Gaelic name translates to “Golden Salmon” and refers to the great fishing grounds for this fish on the River Spey. This young whisky is blended from distillates aged exclusively in bourbon barrels and bottled without an age statement. In 2017, Speyburn Bradan Orach won a silver medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition.
