Product description
Bokma is a Dutch genever created in 1826 by the Bokma family in Leeuwarden, the capital of Friesland. Genever is produced in the Netherlands and Belgium and was the prototype of English gin.
"Bok" in Dutch means goat, which is why the coat of arms on the label includes this animal. The Jonge version has been released since 1966, in typical square bottles. It is a composition of grain spirit with the addition of juniper berries, coriander, peppercorns, angelica and licorice. Bokma is distilled in traditional copper stills. The alcohol matures in oak barrels. It is one of the most recognizable genever brands in the world.
