Product description
Auchroisk is a young and modern distillery based in Speyside.
Built by Justerini & Brooks in 1972-74, it was intended to produce malt whisky for the J&B blender. After several industry consolidations, Auchroisk ended up in Diageo's portfolio, and the lion's share of the 5.8 million liters of distillate it produces ends up in the group's blends, mainly J&B and Johnnie Walker. The only widely available version of the single malt was the 10-year-old Flora & Fauna series. The Auchroisk presented here, distilled on December 20, 2012, spent over 10 years in a re-charred hogshead cask no. 807936, and was bottled at 46% abv and without chill filtration by the Dutch company The Ultimate in April 2023.
