Product description
Craigellachie Distillery sits right next to Macallan and Aberlour Distilleries and produces whisky since 1891 in the shadow of its great neighbors.
One of its founders was Peter Mackie of White Horse fame, and in the 21st Century Craigellachie still supplies malt to the brand. The distillery, now owned by Bacardi Ltd, is equipped with two pairs of stills and produces about 4 million liters of spirit per annum. Craigellachie Special Reserve 19 years old was first introduced in 2014 as Global Travel Retail exclusive; few years later it was added to core range. The bottle presented here was part of Batch No. 04-6140 released in April 2023. The whisky was aged in American oak casks and finished in first fill bourbon and sherry casks.
