Product description
Crabbie is a famous 19th century family of whiskey producers.
In 1801, Miller Crabbie opened a trading office in Edinburgh, and his son John soon bought the brewery, which he converted to blended whisky. John also produced gin and Crabbie's Green Ginger Wine, and was a director of the North British Grain Distillery. John Crabbie & Co. joined DCL in 1963, and in 2017 the rights to the brand were acquired by Halewood Wine & Spirits. In January 2019, they began construction of the Bonnington Distillery in Edinburgh; first distillation took place in March 2020. The Crabbie 12-year-old single malt presented here comes from an undisclosed distillery based on a Scottish island.
