Product description
For more than half a century, Maker's Mark Distillery has proudly called itself "The One Bourbon Company," and even into the new century, Bill Samuels Jr., son of the company's founder, has remained true to the original formula.
It wasn't until around 2005 that he began a series of experiments, of which attempt no. 46 received his approval. After the basic maturation, the standard Maker's Mark leaves the barrel, and 10 toasted French oak staves are installed in it. The undiluted bourbon returns to the modified barrel for another nine weeks. During this time, the barrel rests in the coolest part of the maturation warehouse. Maker's Mark French Oaked debuted in 2010 as Maker's 46 and was the first new version of this bourbon since the brand's debut in 1953.
