Product description
With annual sales of 1.5 million cases (2021), Courvoisier ranks fourth on the list of best-selling cognacs (behind Hennessy, Martell and Rémy Martin).
The company was founded in 1809 in Bercy (a suburb of Paris) by Emmanuel Courvoisier and Louis Gallois, currently headquartered in Jarnac and owned by Beam Suntory. Courvoisier XO is one of the highest rated cognacs in its class (it has won over 20 medals in the last decade alone). It is a blend of eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne and to a lesser extent Borderies aged from 11 to 25 years. Patrice Pinet, the sixth Courvoisier blender, would have chosen this cognac as a companion to a desert island.
