Product description
For us, Samaroli whiskies are synonymous with quality and beauty. Silvano Samaroli began his career in the whisky market in 1968 and immediately focused on single cask editions.
Often, after selecting a cask of whisky, the company would pour its contents into another type of wood and age it for many years, so that the character of the drink would differ as far as possible from the official versions. In 2008, Samaroli left the management of the company in the hands of Antonio Bleve, but he himself played an active role until his death in February 2017. The Macallan presented here is the master’s personal selection from 1998. Distilled in 1972, when the distillery equipped with 12 stills was still owned by the heirs of Roderick Kemp, the whisky spent more than a quarter of a century in a puncheon sherry cask no. 19158. Bottled at cask strength (56.5% abv) in September 1998 in an edition of 460 bottles.
