Product description
Caperdonich Distillery was built by James Grant in 1897 and originally operated as Glen Grant Nº2.
From 1902 to 1965 it experienced a long break in production, after which it was resumed distilling for blends, mainly Chivas Regal, Queen Anne and 100 Pipers. Shortly after the plant was taken over by Pernod Ricard (2002), the decision was made to close it and in 2010 the property was sold to Forsyth of Rothes, a producer of stills. The Caperdonich presented here is a proposal of the Signatory Vintage company in the Cask Strength Collection series. The whisky was distilled on July 6, 2000, spent over 22 years in a hogshead cask (no. 29492), and was bottled at cask strength (55.9% abv) and without chill filtration on November 28, 2022 in an edition of 285 bottles.
