Product description
Longmorn is often referred to as the ‘hidden gem of Speyside’ and is considered by blenders to be among the very best single malts.
The distillery was built in 1894 by John Duff and is now owned by Chivas Bros, part of Pernod Ricard. Longmorn produces around 4.5 million litres of spirit per year, most of which goes into the Chivas Regal 18-year-old and Chivas Royal Salute blends. The low supply of official releases is offset to some extent by Gordon & MacPhail, which has included Longmorn in its Distillery Labels series (whiskies in this series have individual labels). The 2008 Vintage, presented here, is a whisky aged mainly in sherry hogsheads and refills for around 14 years and bottled at 46% ABV in 2022.
