Product description
The word "Shinobu" means "patience and tolerance" and historically referred to the virtues of the samurai.
Ken Usami, owner of Niigata Beer Company, used it in the name of his distillery and whisky. In 2017, Usami obtained a license to produce whisky and began building a distillery in Niigata Prefecture, known in his native Japan as the “Prefecture of the Three White Treasures” – snow, rice and sake. He currently offers blended and blended malt whiskies, finished in Japanese Mizunara oak barrels. Their formulas remain a secret to the creator, although we know that some of the ingredients come from outside Japan. In 2022, the Koshi-no Shinobu Lightly Peated Pure Malt 10 years presented here won a silver medal at the International World Spirit Competition.
