Product description
Canadian Club 44 years old, the fourth edition in the “Chronicles” series, was launched in August 2021 and at the time of release was the oldest Canadian whisky.
According to our sources, this is a corn whiskey distilled in 1977 and aged in American oak barrels. Over the years, their content has been consolidated several times to reduce oxidation of the distillate during extended maturation. Canadian regulations allow producers to add 9.09% of other beverages to the whiskey, such as sherry, cognac or other whiskey (the latter must be aged for at least two years). In the case of the 44-year-old presented here, the Canadian Club blender added a small amount of sherry and rye whiskey. The "Chronicles" series debuted in the fall of 2017 with the 40-year-old edition.
