Product description
In 2019, Bowmore Distillery and Aston Martin Lagonda Holdings decided to release a series of whiskies highlighting the beauty of the iconic car brand and equally iconic whisky.
The Black Bowmore DB5 1964 hit the market a year later and immediately caught the attention of collectors. The edition consisted of 27 bottles and cost £50,000 (we last saw a bottle on the Whisky Exchange website for £180,000). For comparison, the most expensive Aston Martin sold at auction was the 1956 DBR1/1. In 2017, it found a buyer for more than $22.5 million at an auction organized by Sotheby's in Pebble Beach, California. The Bowmore Aston Martin Master's Selection presented here is a blend of whiskies distilled in 1997, aged in bourbon barrels, and distilled in 2000 and aged in sherry barrels. The edition was released in autumn 2022 and consisted of 12,800 bottles.
