Product description
Glen Grant Distillery has been operating since 1840 and was the first of five distilleries built in Rothes.
Its founders were brothers John and James Grant, previously involved in illegal whisky production. Glen Grant has been one of the most popular single malts for years, at the turn of the century it was second in sales statistics, second only to Glenfiddich, and currently closes the top ten. The whisky presented here, distilled in February 1970, was aged in sherry cask no. 1032 and bottled for the Italian market by Dun Eideann in March 2001 in an edition of 498 bottles. Dun Eideann belongs to Signatory Vintage and exports whisky mainly to France, Italy, Spain and Switzerland. Dùn Èideann is the Gaelic name for the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh.
