Product description
In 2015, Bladnoch, Scotland’s most southerly distillery, welcomed a new owner (the Bladnoch Distillery Company had been dissolved by court order the year before).
The lucky buyer was Australian businessman David Prior, who after selling his thriving dairy company (which produced yogurt) invested in whisky. In October 2015, when the distillery was undergoing renovation, Prior initially offered, in his native Australia, the blended whisky Pure Scot, which we know contained single malt Bladnoch, malt whisky from the Highlands, Speyside and Islay, and grain whisky. Since its debut, Pure Scot has won several prestigious medals and awards, including a double gold medal at the San Francisco Spirit Competition in 2021. Today, we can find three versions of this blend in the commercial offer - Signature, Virgin Oak and Midnight Peat.
