Product description
The Gauldrons debuted in the fall of 2017 as the missing link in the Douglas Laing & Co. Remarkable Regional Malts series.
Other regional representatives include Timorous Beastie (Highlands), Scallywag (Speyside), Big Peat (Islay) Rock Oyster (the Islands) and The Epicurean (Lowlands). Gauldrons translates from the Gaelic for “bay of storms” and refers to the sandy bays dotted along the coastline of West Campbeltown. According to Fred Laing, chairman of the company, “Gauldrons has a unique blend of sweet and salty tones that are so characteristic of whiskies from Scotland’s smallest county.” The whisky is bottled in small batches, with Batch #4 released in summer 2019.
