Product description
Glen Scotia, built in 1832, is today one of three distilleries operating in Campbeltown, the smallest whisky producing district in Scotland.
Almost the entire 20th century was not a happy one for the distillery, bankrupt owners and production interruptions meant that both the buildings and the distillery equipment welcomed the new century in a deplorable state. In 2014, the distillery was taken over by the private equity group Exponent, which invested heavily in modernization and the compilation of an attractive commercial offer, only to sell it to Hillside Management from Hong Kong just five years later. Glen Scotia Campbeltown Harbour debuted in early 2018. It is a whisky blended from distillates aged in first-fill bourbon barrels, a great introduction to a tour of Campbeltown.
