Product description
White Heather blended whisky debuted in the early 1950s from White Heather Distillers, a subsidiary of S. Campbell & Son.
Since 1945, S. Campbell & Son have owned the Aberlour Distillery, and its malt has been the backbone of the original formula. In 1974, Pernod Ricard took over the company and soon ceased production of White Heather. In 2017, Billy Walker purchased the Glenallachie distillery from the group and the rights to two blends – MacNair's and White Heather. The latter returned to the market in spring 2021 with a limited edition (2,000 bottles) of 21 years old. A year later, the 15-year-old version presented here joined the offer. It is a blend of grain and malt distillates from the Highlands, Speyside and Islay, aged in bourbon and sherry casks, which were married in puncheon-type barrels from Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry and virgin American oak casks. The malt content of the blend is 47%.
